A little homework can often go a long way. That's why PAA strongly emphasizes ongoing research to ensure the client and public policy makers are attuned to an issue. Research can include everything from gathering information to help write effective legislation to the development of fact sheets and other materials for key legislators, community leaders, media and special audiences.

For example, PAA conducted research for a coalition of corporations on a tax matter. The research included identifying the historical, legal and political issues involved, potential problems and costs to business and to the state. The data helped form documents aimed at creating demand for reform legislation.
